The Boston Bruins have been perhaps the biggest disappointment of the season so far. This was a team predicted by most to end up only behind the Capitals but instead has been struggling to find themselves on the inside of the playoff picture. They have continued to slip, losing their last two and need some big wins down the stretch to keep the Rangers who have won their last two and are creeping up on them.

The Bruins have had a goaltender controversy of sorts on the season. They have had Tim Thomas in the goal struggling recently while Tuuka Rask has posted great numbers (2.09 goals against average, .929 save percentage) and you can expect that he will continue to get play time down the stretch as the team battles for this final playoff spot.

The Bruins do look to have the ability to make noise in the playoffs as they have posted a better road record (16-13-6) than home record (14-13-6). In order for a team to win in the playoffs they need to be able to win on the road and they have showed that they have the potential to do so.

This team has the talent, as it was predicted to win a lot of games this year, they just need to pull it together at the right time. Time is running out though and the time is now. They’ll really need their young star Peter Bergeron (15 goals, 29 assists) to lead the charge if they are to pull it all together.
