NHL – 2010-11 season – Re-signing deals

To the Anaheim Ducks, Teemu Selanne is returning. Through the 2010-11 season, the 40-year-old right-winger has signed a one-year deal, the team said Monday.

In 54 games last season, Selanne had 27 goals, 21 assists and 16 penalty minutes. On March 21, he became the 18th player in NHL history to score 600 goals.

To have Selanne back for his 19th NHL season and his 12th in Anaheim, Ducks general manager Bob Murray says the team is thrilled for the same.

In goals, assists, points, power play goals, power play points, game-winning goals, plus/minus rating and games played, Selanne is the Ducks‘ franchise leader. In 2007, he helped the team win its first Stanley Cup. At the Winter Olympics, he played for Finland and won a bronze medal.

Craig Conroy, veteran forward has re-signed with the Calgary Flames. He received a one-year deal. Over 14 seasons, Conroy has appeared in 991 games out of which half of them with the Flames. For 540 points, he has 180 goals and 360 assists. The 38-year-old had three goals and 15 points in 63 games, last season.

In 1990, he was originally drafted 123rd overall, by Montreal, Conroy has played for the Canadiens, St. Louis, Los Angeles and Calgary.

Defenseman Jordan Hendry has re-signed the Chicago Blackhawks to a one-year contract. Over a career-high 43 games for Chicago last season, Hendry posted career-bests of two goals, six assists and eight points. Without scoring during the Blackhawks run to the Stanley Cup title, he played in 15 postseason games.

Over parts of the past three seasons for Chicago, in 92 games, the 26-year-old has tallied three goals and nine helpers. In 2006, Hendry was signed as a free agent after his collegiate career at the University of Alaska.
